March Stamp Club Cards

 Here is one of the cards we made at our March stamp club workshop.  It's a fairly straight forward card and you can probably figure it out by looking at the supply list.  :)  

One instructional detail that should be noted is that we made the banner longer than the actual die.  Here is how to make a Longer Banner with Framelits:

 1.  Cut the patterned paper (or card stock of your choice) the same width as your banner die
2.  Place the patterned paper so that the bottom of the die (the flags) will cut your paper and the top is pulled through so it is laying on top of the die.
3.  At the top of the banner die, place a thicker piece of card stock between the top of the die and the bottom of the patterned paper to create a sandwich.  (This will prevent an embossed line from occurring on your patterned paper... or at least it will be very slight.)
4.  Place a sticky note on die and paper to keep in place.
5.  Run through BigShot.

Six Sided Sampler

 January Stamp Club Card

I was inspired by THIS CARD.  It is very simple to make but takes some time. 

Just a couple of instructions in making this card:

I used glue (white glue or the two-way glue pen) to adhere the hexagon onto a piece of card stock that is 1/8" smaller than the Soft Suede card stock.

Sponge daube all edges of the hexagons.  Once adhered to the card stock, sponge daube around all four sides of main image.

 November Stamp Club Card

Gorgeous Grunge in Blue

 October Stamp Club card

A quick, easy and fun card to make. 

Note that two lines were scored on all four sides of the card.  Thought I would point that out since it could easily be missed.

Everblue in Poloroid

October Stamp Club Card

I know it is only October but we have to get a few Christmas cards made at our stamp club workshop. This is our first Christmas card of the season.  We used two techniques:   The Shaker card and the Faux Letterpress techniques.  Unfortunately the photo does not show the Illuminate ink glittering in the stripes of the blue card stock (faux letterpress technique).  Here are the details on how to make this card.

Follow these techniques to make the poloroid shaker image and the striped background in Marina Mist:

 To create the picture image in the "poloroid photo", stamp the evergreen trees in Midnight Muse ink.  Sponge Marina Mist ink over the entire piece of card stock.  If you want, you can sponge a bit of Midnight Muse ink as well.  Stamp the stars using the Illuminate ink. Continue following the Shaker card instructions.

Tips:  

Use wax paper when using the expression thinlits.  This will make your life so much easier!!!  The sandwich works like this:  Bigshot Platform, Acrylic plate, thinlit, wax paper, card stock, Acrylic plate.  Works like a charm.  Thanks Brenda, I think you were the one that gave me this tip!
 
We tried Mica Flakes but they did not move around in our window very easily.  Too much static.  I think if you would want to use the flakes, double up on the mounting tape height to give the flakes more space to move.  The glitter is heavier and moves easily in the window.

To adhere the "merry", roll the glue dots to fit to the back of the sentiment. Rolling the glue dots keep them hidden.   Another option is to use spray adhesive. 

The Illuminate ink was used in the Faux Letterpress Technique.
